This project pays homage to Matt’s 20th year and Bruno’s 18th year of Truck U – the 2006 Chevy Colorado has the same body as a 2004 model (honoring the year Truck U first premiered), but a vehicle that is 18 years old signifies the time the duo has been together.

This project pays homage to Matt’s 20th year and Bruno’s 18th year of Truck U – the 2006 Chevy Colorado has the same body as a 2004 model (honoring the year Truck U first premiered), but a vehicle that is 18 years old signifies the time the duo has been together.
Over the course of Truck U’s 20th season, the team will build this Colorado into the ultimate parts-getting, fun-having mini pickup truck. The project begins by replacing the tired 3.5L 5cyl engine with a reliable and powerful LS motor. The guys will fit the engine with forced induction to make sure the tires never stay stuck to the road for too long. The rear axle will get an upgrade, with a 5-lug conversion in front to match. Matt and Bruno will lower the truck and install a new set of wheels and tires. Finally, they’ll take care of the appearance with new bumpers, side skirts, tonneau cover, vinyl wrap, interior clean-up, and other finishing touches to bring this Colorado 20 years into the future!
