Ian Johnson asks for some help from Matt and Bruno equipping a support truck for the Build for Off Road Adventure Ride. This truck will need to be able to tow 2 vehicles, including Two Guys Garage host Willie B’s 1983 CJ7, which has also spent some time in the Truck U shop. The support truck will also have to handle all the crew gear for the Adventure Ride – including camera gear that needs to be safely stored, charged, and easily accessed while out on the trail.
To start, Bruno and Matt will need a hard and secure tonneau/truck cap, along with working lights to illuminate everything from camera action to trailside repairs long after the sun goes down. The guys hope to add a drawer or sliding bed system for a safe and convenient storage solution, as well as racks or rails that can be installed on the tonneau or truck topper. Finally, the guys will install a full solar, battery, and inverter setup for charging camera gear, and a security system to keep the truck and its precious cargo safe while traveling cross-country. .
