Season 3 draws to a close with Ian’s wanderlust in high gear, so he’s loading up the purpose-built All Aluminum Land Rover Defender with everything he and some buddies will need for a multi-day “Ultimate Adventure”-style excursion through the open roads and off-road trails of Kentucky. Along the way they’ll explore parks and caves; experience mountain climbs; enjoy some of the local culture; and no doubt encounter some unexpected road side repairs. There’ll be two chase Jeeps along for the trek, which is planned to include a night of camping in the beautiful outdoors.

ADVENTURE ITINERARY*

• DAY 1 (PREP) – Wednesday, October 13
  Travel from Lexington to Spade, Kentucky to gear up for the trip
• DAY 2 – Thursday, October 14
  Travel backroads to Nada Tunnel in the Natural Bridge State Resort Park en route to Hollerwood Offroad Park; at the end of Hollerwood Trail Ride, hit more backroads en route back to Slade.
• DAY 3 – Friday, October 15
  Travel via backroads and caves to Corbin, Kentucky; heading south on the Kentucky Adventure Trail (KAT) through the Daniel Boone National Forest, then on to the Harland Sanders Café and Museum before setting up camp for the night at Falls Creek Cabins and Campground.
• DAY 4 – Saturday, October 16
  Continue south on the KAT towards the Jellico Area, exploring some scenic drives through the Big South Fork National River Park and finishing the trip in Knoxville, Tennessee.
