FourWheeler’s third season kicks off with the series’ first Land Rover Defender. Of course, Ian being Ian, this is no ordinary Land Rover. It’s a Custom All-Aluminum Land Rover body (Mini-UHM) that sits on top of a Jeep JK chassis. Defenders imported by Land Rover between 1993 and 1997 are highly desired collectibles. Depending upon their condition, these North American Spec (NAS) trucks, in both two-door 90 and four-door 110 models, can fetch upwards of $100,000. In the first of this multi-episode build, Ian will introduce the body and frame and put the two together. The Aqualu Industries body is a kit, so you can bet Ian will have some cutting and modifying to do. He’ll also get to work on the drivetrain and decide whether to go with an LS or Jeep engine.
